I am writing to provide an update from the lawyers in the mandatory standby case against Marathon (Wood v. Marathon, USDC, ND Cal., Case No. 19-cv-04287-YGR).
As you know, Marathon previously filed a motion asking the Court to “decertify” the class in this case so that it could not proceed as a class action. We are happy to share that the Court recently denied Marathon’s motion. This means that the case will continue to move forward as a class action, and class counsel will continue to represent all class members in this case.
The court has set a trial date of July 28, 2025 for this case. We will keep you updated with any further developments.
